Last night I finally watched the movie. I enjoyed the movie. Like all SATC episodes, it stresses the importance of friends.
I went to the movies with my GFs (Claire and Julie) + New Friend (Angelique) whom I only met yesterday. The husband and BFs didn’t want to come with us (as expected) so guess where they went? If you guessed a bar, you are only half right. They went to Hooters. Mmm hmm…
So Julie and BF came pick us up and dropped the boys off at Hooters. The plan was when the movie is over, we will call Julie’s BF (Adam left his phone at home) to see where they are and pick them up. After the movies (at 10pm) we called but no answer. We didn’t want to go to Hooters so we decided to go to a bar for a drink while waiting for a call back.
An hour passed and we saw the boys walking into another bar across the street from us! We left them to their drinks across the street while we have a good time ourselves at our bar though I have to admit we were checking on them from time to time
After some drinks, at 1am, we came up be a devious plan ~ send our New Friend over to chat the guys up. Tell them she has some girlfriends with her and ask the guys to join them for a drink
Since she has not seen any of the guys we had to describe the guys to her. Worried that she might ‘chat-up’ the wrong guys, we went over with her, pointed the guys out and we hid. It was so funny, we laughed so hard. The guys were obviously drunk and not interested in girls at that point so Julie and I have to come out of hiding.
Upon seeing us, the guys complaint that we left them at Hooters. Apparently Julie’s BF left his phone at home and they were ‘lost’ so they decided to go to this other bar. Wonder why calling a taxi didn’t come to their mind.
It was a fun night. Not too sure about the guys but the girls definately had a great time. Cheers!

Ms. Low loves her English breakfast so I thought I’ll blog about it ~ I make it every weekend!

- English Cumberland bangers
- Irish back bacon
- Black pudding
- Scrambled eggs (we rather have this to fried eggs, we love the creamy texture of scrambled eggs. YUM!)
- Heinz baked beans
- English sharp cheddar
- Whole-grain / Millet toast (healthier option to Finnegan’s fried bread which by the way taste very yummy)
You also see some fried mash on the plate. It’s not normally on the breakfast I cook but Emma (Adam’s step sis) wants to use the leftovers. She loves fried mash.
Hope you are hungry now

Another British fave ~ HP Sauce

Manolo Blahnik being interviewed on TV.
Me: Darling, I don’t own any Manolo
Adam: I offered to buy you a pair in KL, you said no
Me: I said NO? You offered? When?
Adam: One day when we were in KLCC
Me: You offered? Were you drunk?
Adam: No.
Me: And I said no… was I drunk?
Adam: I don’t know… don’t think so.
Me: Is the offer still open (with a cute puppy look)
Adam: Not now that we are married
DAMN! If your bf/fiance offers to buy something nice, grab the opportunity now! Learn from this.

In an attempt to live healthier, I have decided to drink less. I normally have a drink or two every other day and at least 5 when we are out with friends. Now I am planning to have only ONE drink when we are out and NO drinking at home.
I have been sticking to that really well for a month until we have visitors and even that I manage to stick to ONE drink when we are at home or TWO (at most) when we are out. (giving myself a pat on the back for a job well done)
On Saturday we had a bbq by the pool. I poured Adam a glass of wine and finished the whole bottle myself. Yikes! I don’t know how it happened… I just kept drinking!
Our guests left yesterday and I am back to my ONE drink limit when we are out. I am sure I can stick to this until my next guests arrive mid-July.
It’s so DIFFICULT!!!
